In Ancient times of King Kamehameha, Only Royalty were allowed to own it. Koa was used for Outrigger Canoes, Surfboards, Lua Weapons, Ukuleles, Beautiful Bowls for Sacred Ceremony and now gorgeous jewelry and modern products for all to enjoy.
In Hawaiian, Koa means Brave and Courageous and it was thought that whoever owns koa will grow in those virtues.
All wood used is solid koa gathered from the slopes of Mauna Kea. We do not cut any trees. The trees are Protected and We wait until they Offer themselves before we make good use of this precious wood. We do help with reforestation efforts.
